How to Install the Play.co.za Android App

Detailed Android Installation Instructions

Use these steps if your Android phone asks for extra permissions before installing the Play.co.za app.

1. Download the APK. Tap the Download the App button at the top of this page. Your phone will download the play.apk file.
2. Confirm the download. If Chrome or your browser asks whether you want to keep the file, choose the option to download or keep the APK.
3. Allow installs from your browser. If Android blocks the install, open Settings, go to Apps, then find Special app access or Install unknown apps.
4. Select the app you downloaded with. Choose the browser or file app you used, such as Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet, Downloads, or My Files.
5. Turn on permission for this source. Enable Allow from this source. This only allows the selected app to install the Play.co.za APK you downloaded.
6. Open the downloaded file. Go back to your Downloads folder or notification panel and tap play.apk.
7. Install and open the app. Tap Install, wait for the installation to finish, then tap Open to launch Play.co.za.

If the app does not install

Check that the APK finished downloading, make sure your phone has enough storage space, and restart your phone before trying again. If Android still blocks the app, return to Install unknown apps and confirm that the correct browser or file manager has permission enabled.
