UEFA Champions League: Week Four Preview | Hollywoodbets Sports Blog

Gameweek four preview Our football pundit previews the UEFA Champions league round four action which kicks off on Tuesday 31 October 2017.

We’re halfway through the thrilling UEFA Champions League group stages with three rounds completed and the stakes rising as teams push to secure their spots in the knockout rounds. Only five elite sides have maintained a flawless record so far – it’s no surprise to see Barcelona, PSG, and the two Manchester powerhouses among them, but Besiktas have certainly been the dark horse to watch, dominating Group G with impressive performances and looking to continue their sensational streak.
Matchday four features exciting reverse fixtures from round three, including Premier League giants Manchester City and Chelsea facing tough Italian challengers Napoli and Roma. Tottenham also welcome reigning champions Real Madrid to the iconic Wembley Stadium for a clash brimming with drama and prestige.

FC Basel 15/20 | Draw 51/20 | CSKA Moscow 34/10
FC Basel look to clinch early qualification as they host CSKA Moscow. The Swiss champions secured a 2-0 win in Moscow last time and a victory here combined with a favourable result in the Benfica game would see Basel advance. With their strong form and home advantage, expect Basel to push for the win.
CSKA do have history on their side having won their last two visits to Switzerland, but Basel’s confidence and home support make them favourites to claim full points.

Manchester United 3/10 | Draw 4/1 | Benfica 8/1
Manchester United aim to secure progression with a win over Benfica. Although they can’t top the group yet, a victory paired with a Basel win puts them through. Alternatively, a draw combined with a CSKA loss would suffice. The Red Devils have been formidable at home, not conceding any goals this season, so the Home Win to Nil market at 9/10 is a solid call.
Celtic 8/1 | Draw 47/10 | Bayern Munich 3/10
Celtic face a tough challenge as they welcome Bayern Munich. The Scots have struggled in the group, while Bayern have seen a revival under Jupp Heynckes, playing exhilarating football. Back Bayern Munich on the (-1) Handicap at 13/20 for a safe bet.

Paris Saint-Germain 1/16 | Draw 19/2 | Anderlecht 28/1
PSG continue as the tournament’s standout team with a flawless record and a strong goal difference. Anderlecht look unlikely to halt their momentum, having yet to score. Expect PSG to win to nil at 13/20.
Roma 31/20 | Draw 5/2 | Chelsea 31/20
AS Roma host Chelsea in a match that promises goals. Chelsea are struggling against Italian sides, with recent losses and poor away form. Given the previous 3-3 draw in London and Roma’s home record, Both Teams to Score in the First Half at 49/20 is an enticing option.

Atletico Madrid 1/11 | Draw 7/1 | Qarabag 30/1
Atletico Madrid look for their first win in the Champions League this season as they face Qarabag at home. Despite the absence of South Africa’s Dino Ndlovu, Atleti have been strong at home and are looking to catch up to Roma and Chelsea in the group. Back the Multiscores market with Atletico winning 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 at 15/20.

Olympiacos 11/1 | Draw 5/1 | Barcelona 1/5
Barcelona visit Olympiacos aiming to maintain their unbeaten record. The Catalans have not conceded in their last three matches in Greece. Olympiacos have struggled this season, making Barcelona the clear favourites to win to nil at 17/20.

Sporting 29/10 | Draw 47/20 | Juventus 19/20
Sporting host Juventus in a key group clash. Juventus need to overturn their poor away record in Lisbon but are motivated by the prospect of securing qualification. Back Juventus at 19/20.
Wednesday 1 November

Liverpool 1/50 | Draw 13/1 | Maribor 46/1
Liverpool are coming off a record 7-0 away win but have won only once in nine matches overall. Maribor have lost all their games in England. Suggest taking Over 2.5 Goals at 2/13 for value.

Sevilla 9/20 | Draw 36/10 | Spartak Moscow 47/10
Sevilla face Spartak Moscow, who lead Group E. Sevilla have strong home form against Russian clubs and are favoured in this encounter.
Shakhtar Donetsk 7/20 | Draw 4/1 | Feyenoord 6/1
Shakhtar are confident after a recent win against Feyenoord and enjoy strong home form. Feyenoord are struggling badly. Back Shakhtar at 7/20, or for more value, on the (-1) Handicap at 9/10.
Napoli 31/20 | Draw 26/10 | Manchester City 29/20
Napoli and Manchester City’s clash is a marquee fixture. City looked dominant last time and can guarantee qualification with a non-loss. Napoli, unbeaten at home vs English sides, will test them. Consider backing City on Double Chance & Both Teams to Score at evens.

Besiktas 5/4 | Draw 51/20 | Monaco 39/20
Besiktas aim to keep their perfect record against Monaco. They have strong home form and a winning streak. Expect them to secure maximum points and qualification.
Porto 23/20 | Draw 24/10 | Leipzig 9/4
Porto and Leipzig battle for Group G position. Porto are motivated to bounce back after recent losses to German sides. Back Porto at 23/20.
Dortmund 1/16 | Draw 9/1 | APOEL Nicosia 30/1
Dortmund need a win to challenge for knockout qualification; APOEL have never won in Germany. Back Dortmund on (-1) Handicap at 2/9.
Tottenham 19/10 | Draw 11/4 | Real Madrid 23/20
The much-anticipated Tottenham vs Real Madrid clash at Wembley sees big names and high stakes. Real Madrid have historical edge in away fixtures versus Spurs. Despite Spurs’ good form, Real Madrid are the pick at 23/20.
