The lightly raced filly OSSETRA is the strong favourite in this weak maiden over a mile. She has been consistent, finishing runner-up in her last three starts. Though last time she was beaten in a workrider’s race, the winner Sabina’s Dynasty subsequently dominated a top field, enhancing OSSETRA’s form. From the Alec Laird stable, she is the one to beat.

The Matchett stable has two unbeaten runners facing stiff competition today. THE SHREDDER disappointed last time in a stronger race but prior runs were encouraging.
