The lightly raced chestnut son of Twice Over raced wide throughout a six furlong contest at Durbanville last time, yet still dug deep to just narrowly beat the short priced subsequent winner and top prospect Talk Of The Town. The 3rd placed finisher Tsitsikamma Dance later confirmed this strong form with a win himself, and this inmate from the respected Snaith stable should excel over the mile here.

The Espressivo form from 27 October is one to back here. MEGA SCENE performed well in her debut over five furlongs on the polytrack, attracting late market support and finishing strongly despite a slow start. CAPTAIN MAROONED has shown some quirks but has been flawless in both impressive local wins. Despite a recent hefty eight-pound penalty, he looks to be still ahead of the handicapper. Well-bred son of Captain Al, he should manage this class rise and can make it a hat-trick on his seasonal debut. BAAHIR, proven over this minimum distance and rarely far behind, is also a strong contender with a handy 1.5kg claim.
