Chippa United dazzled fans with a commanding performance in the Premiership this Wednesday, clinching a 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the iconic Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The home side struck early thanks to Abel Mabaso, who found the net following an exquisite assist from Mark Mayambela. Kaizer Chiefs fought back valiantly, with Hendrick Ekstein nearly scoring but his shot striking the post.
After the break, Joseph Molangoane came close for the visitors but Chippa held firm, securing all three points on their home turf.

In the second half, Chiefs pressed hard for an equaliser, with Molangoane testing Akpeyi from a Gustavo Paez cross. George Maluleka’s free-kick was expertly blocked by Okwuosa in the 71st minute.
Chippa almost extended their lead when substitute Katlego Mashego’s shot was deflected by Teenage Hadebe. Akpeyi stayed alert to keep out a dangerous header from Paez, helping his side hold strong until the final whistle.
