The Football Association has called on both Manchester United and Manchester City to submit detailed reports regarding the tunnel scuffle that occurred at Old Trafford last Sunday.
After City’s thrilling 2-1 victory, the away squad’s jubilant celebrations sparked a heated altercation in the tunnel between players of both teams.
The atmosphere escalated with reports of Red Devils’ manager Jose Mourinho having milk thrown at him, while City’s assistant coach Mikel Arteta reportedly sustained a head injury.
United’s players and staff appeared taken aback by the intensity of City’s celebrations, which seemingly ignited the incident.
As referee Michael Oliver’s official match report did not mention these events, the FA has decided to investigate further. Both clubs have been granted until 13 December to respond.
