MISS BOOMERANG dazzled with an explosive debut win over 800m at Turffontein just three weeks ago. Impressively, stablemate Mazari, who is running in race 2, followed up with a strong win, confirming the quality of form. This Bold Silvano filly is set to rise to the occasion and is expected to shine when stepping up against male competition.

Although GHOST RIDER possibly has some minor niggles, this lightly raced horse returned to action with a notable performance after a 35-week break two weeks ago. He is expected to be fitter and shows plenty of promise for further improvement. Meanwhile, PRINCE OF WAR, who has been in great form recently, finished runner-up last week at the same venue with today’s jockey aboard.

MALINGA boasts a strong record on this course and distance, recently snagging a gritty win over tough rivals three weeks ago. The Silvano gelding carries only a minor penalty and appears to be in peak condition. ALI BON DUBAI is also on form and has proven excellent under this young jockey, despite a recent four-pound rise for his fluent victory.

The talented grey filly COLOUR OF LIGHT stunned many with a narrow win on debut at Turffontein over 1160m. Although the form has been inconsistent with some unexpected results, this inmate from the Tarry stable has surely gained valuable experience and looks set to improve notably. She could be the dark horse of the day.

This maiden race is not as straightforward as the market suggests. ASHDOWN could very well pull off a surprise. She showed marked improvement with an extended trip recently, although tiring towards the end over soft ground. The slightly shorter distance today should suit her perfectly and might be the key to a winning performance.
