Winning Form is excited to bring you their top horse racing tips for the Fairview meeting happening on Friday, 9 March 2018. These selections include insights from Winning Form plus the renowned Magic Tips from eMeM to give you the edge you need.
Race 1: TUNE THE SCOPE(10) Jockey: G Cheyne – Trainer: A Greeff
TUNE THE SCOPE has shown promise over this course and distance in both of his previous outings. His latest form was boosted significantly when the fourth-placed horse, Speed Flyer, secured his maiden victory last Friday. This bodes well for Tune The Scope’s chances.
Race 2: OHSOBRIGHT(5) Jockey: J Penny – Trainer: C Spies
OHSOBRIGHT had a disappointing race recently over a mile on soft ground but had shown her best form over this course and distance in previous races. She finished a close second to Valentine’s Girl in her second last run and is definitely worth another shot.
Race 3: SABBATICAL(5) Jockey: G V.Niekerk – Trainer: J Snaith
The talented Sabattical ran well above expectations when narrowly beaten in a feature race over this course and distance last month. The third-placed horse in that race finished second in another feature race last week, boosting Sabattical’s form. This Silvano gelding is well handicapped, although he faces tough competition from Free Agent and Bollemakiesie.
Race 7: MERYSAGOS(2) Jockey: G V.Niekerk – Trainer: J Snaith
The Snaith and Van Niekerk duo looks set to clinch another provincial feature after last Friday’s win. The filly Merysagos aims for consecutive victories over this course and distance. She showcased impressive speed in her recent triumph, beating future winners Star Burst Galaxy and Cloud Atlas. Expect her to thrive in a likely strong-paced race.
Race 4: PONDICHERRI(4) Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: G Smith
The Data Link form line is worth noting in this ten furlong maiden event, but a change in expected form may be ahead. Pondicherri appeared strong for much of his latest race before fading late and is now dropped in distance for this outing. With the best draw and the chance to close the gap on runners-up Big Jay’s and Sacred Touch, he is a horse to watch.
