Race 1: QUICK GLIMPSE(1)
Jockey: A Delpech – Trainer: M De Kock
QUICK GLIMPSE was coming back from a short break and although she didn’t perform well on yielding ground in a recent sprint, this imported Fastnet Rock filly had been showing great promise before that. She finished strongly to come a close 2nd in a tough seven furlong race recently, and the horse that finished 5th that day, Chariot Of Gold (running in race 3), has since won a race. Look for the De Kock-trained filly to bounce back here.

QUICK GLIMPSE(1) |
Jockey: K De Melo – Trainer: P Peter
CORRIDO had an understandable poor run last time in a very competitive field, but the form from that race is one to keep an eye on. The bay gelding narrowly lost in his run before that and can return to form today.

Race 4: COLLEGIATE(2)
Jockey: G Lerena – Trainer: T Zackey
COLLEGIATE recently had the challenge of running twice within four days and understandably underperformed over a mile. However, he showed his potential when narrowly losing over nine furlongs just days earlier. This son of Ideal World is bred to thrive at this longer distance and should be sharper off his short break.

Race 5: MALINGA(3)
Jockey: R Simons – Trainer: A Laird
MALINGA is showing great form, having finished a close 3rd behind the improving three-year-old THE ROCKETMAN over this trip four weeks back. He carries 2kg less than his conqueror for that narrow defeat, and the runner-up Shenanigans has since recorded a comfortable win, which strengthens this formline.

MALINGA(3) |
Jockey: C Maujean – Trainer: G Maroun
Trainer Grant Maroun has strong chances in this fast and competitive five-furlong handicap sprint, with the less fancied SINGASWEWIN being the narrow first pick. This experienced four-year-old bay gelding typically finishes his races strongly and did so again at Turffontein three weeks ago. He now faces his speedy stablemate GREAT SHAKA, but carries 1.5kg less for a 2.15 length margin previously.
