Arsene Wenger has confidently affirmed that Arsenal’s key players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will remain at the club through the January transfer window.
With their contracts set to expire at the end of the season, a number of Europe’s top clubs are closely following the duo. However, despite the possibility of losing Sanchez and Ozil without a transfer fee next summer, Wenger is determined not to sell his stars mid-season.
When questioned about the likelihood of either player leaving Arsenal soon, Wenger responded: “I rule it out.”
“I do not think about it every day. For now, while they are with us, their focus must be on giving their best for the club and the team.”
“In my mind, they will stay until the season concludes.”
“This was the stance from the start of the season – unless something truly unbelievable occurs, I do not anticipate changes.”
“They are starting their final contract year.”
“Whether they stay beyond this season is uncertain, but their contracts run until the end of the campaign.”
