Tottenham striker Harry Kane has proudly claimed the mantle as the club’s top goalscorer ever after netting twice in an emphatic 4-0 triumph over Everton last Saturday.

Kane’s tally now stands at a remarkable 98 Premier League goals, vaulting past club legend Teddy Sheringham. Both Kane and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino believe this is just the beginning of an even greater journey.

“He’s exceptionally talented and so professional—I couldn’t be happier,” Pochettino told BT Sport. “A huge congratulations to him, he absolutely deserves this praise.

“At this rate, he’s on track to shatter all Premier League and England records. I’m thrilled because he’s a true game-changer.”

Kane shared a modest reaction to his milestone and highlighted the team effort behind the convincing win, where teammates Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen also scored.

“Winning 4-0 is fantastic, especially against a strong Everton side,” Kane told BT Sport. “We created plenty of chances and capitalised well.

“I’m proud of the achievement but it’s on to the next one. These guys set me up brilliantly, and our focus remains on winning games as a team. Hopefully, I’ll keep finding the back of the net.”

This victory has Spurs eyeing fourth place, now level on points with Liverpool who have a game in hand against leaders Manchester City.

“Being close in the race is crucial,” Pochettino added. “Just three points separate us from Chelsea, United, and Liverpool.

“With a tough season still ahead, consistency will be key if we want to secure a prestigious top-four finish.”
