Bidvest Wits have proudly announced the signing of the dynamic Lehlohonolo Majoro, who is set to join the team on 1 January 2018.
The Premiership champions, currently battling tough times and striving to reclaim their standing in the PSL, shared an enthusiastic welcome via their official Twitter account:
“Welcome to the Clever Boys family.”
After a challenging start this season, Wits are determined to reignite their campaign – and signing this experienced striker is a bold move to signal their fighting spirit.
Lehlohonolo Majoro, previously with Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs, joins Wits following an early release from his contract with Cape Town City, where he sought more match playtime.
At 31 years old, Majoro brings a wealth of experience, having scored three goals in 12 matches this season, despite a recent spell of limited appearances under coach Benni McCarthy.
Last season, Majoro impressively netted seven league goals in 20 appearances for Cape Town City, with his peak performance back in the 2010/11 season, scoring 14 goals in 27 matches for AmaZulu.
Fans can look forward to his debut as Bidvest Wits take on Free State Stars in their first fixture post-holiday break on 5 January 2018.
