We bring you a detailed preview of the AT&T Pebble Beach National, set to tee off at the celebrated Pebble Beach Golf Course from 8th to 11th February.
The US PGA Tour is back swinging with one of America’s most renowned pro-am tournaments. The initial days might feature some slow-paced action, dominated by celebrities and business figures navigating the trio of courses.
However, come Sunday, Pebble Beach lights up with top-notch golf as a stellar field confronts one of the sport’s most iconic tests. Established in 1937 as the Bing Crosby National Pro-Amateur and proudly sponsored by AT&T since 1986, this 77th edition promises intense competition.
Event Details:
AT&T Pebble Beach National | 8 February – 11 February | Pebble Beach, California
Wind conditions will play a crucial role across the exposed courses; Saturday is forecasted to be particularly blustery. Spyglass Hill is known as the toughest, featuring tree-lined fairways, contrasting with the more forgiving Monterey and Pebble Beach courses. Monterey is typically the easiest. Players alternate between these three courses during the first three rounds, with Pebble Beach showcasing the breathtaking scenery for the finale. The greens’ poa annua surface is comparable to that at Torrey Pines.
World Number One Dustin Johnson kicks off this tournament with fierce competitors like Jon Rahm and Jordan Spieth hot on his heels. Rory McIlroy seeks redemption after close calls in the Middle East, while Jason Day is fresh off a recent win. Gary Woodland impressed last week, and past champions Brandt Snedeker and Jimmy Walker also feature as strong contenders. Despite Pebble Beach being the shortest course on the PGA Tour, it remains a wildcard venue, with past surprise winners like Vaughan Taylor.

Value Picks
Brandt Snedeker – To Win 35/1, To Place 15/2
Snedeker’s odds are a steal at 35/1. As a two-time Pebble Beach winner (2013 & 2015) with a strong 4th place last year, his world-class putting on the poa annua greens makes him a top value bet. A solid 23rd at the Phoenix Open hints at a competitive campaign this week.
Chesson Headley – To Win 55/1, To Place 12/1
Headley has started the season impressively with top finishes and has demonstrated resilience despite injury setbacks. His excellent form both on the tour and Pebble Beach (two consecutive top 10s in early PGA appearances here) makes him a compelling outsider.
Jason Kokrak – To Win 80/1, To Place 17/1
Canadian Kokrak is yet to claim his maiden PGA Tour victory but boasts exceptional performance on California courses. Consistent top-10 finishes in the region, including last season’s surge from an opening 77, make him an appealing high-risk, high-reward bet.
The Man to Beat – Jason Day – To Win 10/1, To Place 22/10
Day, fresh from a win at Torrey Pines, is a strong contender with good past Pebble Beach results including a 4th place in 2015. Although he missed the cut recently at Torrey Pines, he looks rejuvenated and determined after overcoming health and family challenges.
