Football legend Alan Shearer is convinced that Harry Kane possesses the elite quality to star at Spanish football giants Real Madrid or Barcelona, especially after his outstanding hat-trick for Tottenham on Boxing Day.
In 2017, Kane smashed records by scoring 39 Premier League goals as Spurs triumphed 5-2 over Southampton at Wembley. This feat saw him break Shearer’s previous calendar-year record, setting new standards in English football.
“Not only did he shatter my Premier League calendar-year record, but with back-to-back hat-tricks, he also outscored legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo across all competitions in 2017 for club and country,” Shearer shared in The Sun.
“Being in the same league as those icons is exceptional, but honestly, Kane could net goals for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. That’s the challenge for Spurs as they look ahead.”
