Jimmy Hoffa ‘Put Through Sausage Grinder’ by Detroit Mob, New Claims Allege
- Mobster allegedly confessed to Hoffa’s murder twice before
- Sausage grinder, incinerator cited in new disposal theory
- FBI probe resurfaces amid explosive new wiretap evidence
Fifty years after the powerful union leader, Jimmy Hoffa, vanished from a suburban Detroit parking lot, fresh allegations are revitalising one of America’s most perplexing cold cases.

Recent reporting by Gangster Report and Fox News reveals that federal investigators are exploring previously undisclosed eyewitness testimonies and underworld confessions that could clarify who might have killed Hoffa and what ultimately happened to his remains.
A recent Gangster Report piece states that the now-deceased Detroit mobster, Anthony “Tony Pal” Palazzolo, confessed to Hoffa’s murder during a wiretap captured in 1993. This wiretap was part of a collaborative investigation conducted by the FBI, DEA, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
Palazzolo informed an undercover agent that he had killed Hoffa and disposed of his body with a sausage grinder at Detroit Sausage Company, the front he operated for many years.
Alleged Confession
However, the narrative doesn’t end there. The article further outlines that Palazzolo confessed to the murder in 1977 while intimidating an individual over a drug debt in Florida. This unnamed person recounted how Palazzolo held a gun to his mouth on a porch, stating, “I murdered Hoffa two years earlier.” Out of fear for his life, this individual opted to pay his debt in full and ceased all contact with Palazzolo.
These new revelations emerged following a public panel held on July 23 in Macomb County, Mich., featuring journalist Scott Burnstein, former federal prosecutor Richard Convertino, and ex-mobster Nove Tocco. They disclosed details of Palazzolo’s wiretapped boast and positioned him as a primary suspect in Hoffa’s mysterious disappearance.
Moreover, these claims were substantiated by a segment in Fox Nation’s documentary series “Riddle: The Search for James R. Hoffa,” where Hoffa’s son, James P. Hoffa, publicly supported the theory that the Detroit Mafia, along with Hoffa’s political successor, Frank Fitzsimmons, orchestrated the hit.
While prior reports have alternately pointed fingers at mob enforcer Frank Sheeran or identified burial sites in New Jersey and Oakland Township, this latest version – backed by Palazzolo’s alleged confessions, new surveillance findings, and a reassessment of FBI investigation priorities – pushes the horrific grinder-and-incinerator theory further into the spotlight.
According to Gangster Report and various sources familiar with the investigation, Hoffa was last seen being picked up outside the Machus Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Township on July 30, 1975. A maroon Mercury Marquis, registered to Tony Giacalone’s son, was linked to Hoffa via a single hair, although there was no blood found in the vehicle.
Did ‘Billy Jack’ Pull the Trigger?
Current investigations suggest Palazzolo was at the wheel of the getaway vehicle. However, the actual trigger-puller seems to be Vito “Billy Jack” Giacalone. This inference is based on testimony from a confidential informant who claims to have witnessed the murder.
The body, as alleged by Gangster Report, was subsequently ground up using a sausage auger and incinerated at Central Sanitation, a rubbish facility owned by Palazzolo’s mentor, mob capo Peter “Bozzy” Vitale. Employees were reportedly told to leave the premises on that critical night, and the building housing the incinerators was later destroyed in a series of suspicious fires in 1976 and 1978.
Palazzolo passed away from stomach cancer in 2019. According to sources referenced by Gangster Report, he was recognised for his role in Hoffa’s murder with a promotion to capo and subsequently as consigliere within the Tocco-Zerilli crime family. Federal interest in him resurfaced strongly after former underboss Anthony Zerilli implicated him during debriefings in 2012.
While the FBI has yet to publicly comment on these renewed accusations, they continue to classify the Hoffa investigation as open and active, with no charges having ever been filed.
Summary
The ongoing investigation into Jimmy Hoffa’s disappearance has revived with chilling allegations linking mob figure Anthony Palazzolo to the crime. With explosive confessions involving gruesome methods of disposal, including a sausage grinder, the narrative has taken a horrific turn that captivates not only crime enthusiasts but the public as well.
