PLAY ANOTHER TUNE showed great promise in his debut, finishing a strong and close 2nd despite being inconvenienced on the last bend over five furlongs at this course. He clearly relishes the step up in distance to two extra furlongs and is expected to progress further.

ALDO’S CHASE has been rapidly improving, recently finishing a close 3rd over a mile, making him a standout in this relatively weak field. Although this will be his first run on this track which can sometimes be challenging, he is well drawn and should handle the slight drop in distance effortlessly.

ONE MOMENT IN TIME drops down to a mile after showing a lack of acceleration over longer distances two weeks ago. Nevertheless, his eye-catching initial run over this distance from a poor draw showed he has big potential. This son of King’s Chapel is expected to be above average.

The talented ROY HAD ENOUGH displayed a stunning turn of pace when he won a listed race over this course and distance late December. He deserved the 10-week break and comes back primed for more.
Race 6: BRIGHT BLESSED DAY(9)

The three-year-old BRIGHT BLESSED DAY has battled with setbacks but is rapidly making up for lost ground, showing improvement with each run since a long 42-week break. He impressed particularly well when finishing 3rd behind Guineas prospect Noble Secret over a mile on his handicap debut three weeks ago on the Highveld. He wasn’t penalised for that effort and clearly has more to offer. The extra furlong should suit this chestnut who began his career in KwaZulu-Natal.
