The striking grey filly KAZURI was highly regarded after showing late zest in her fair maiden run behind male rivals over five furlongs late last year. Being a daughter of Dynasty and having the runner-up Pick Again go on to win confirms her strong potential. Expect her to take full advantage of today’s extra furlong at the seasoned Greeff yard.

The talented three-year-old CRISTIAN renews his rivalry with COUNTING STARS, having bested his rival by a neck over this distance on the polytrack last month. Both returned from short breaks and are expected to be fitter. Though CRISTIAN still needs to solidify his grass form after some inconsistent runs, he looks ready to rise to the challenge again.

The filly VIA SEATTLE had a disappointing homecoming performance but prior to that proved class over this trip on the Highveld with a feature win. With recovery time from her travels and a favourable weight allowance, she’s poised to make a big impact against her male counterparts today.

Highlighting the day’s top race is a non-black mile event at handicap weights. The lightweight four-year-old bay gelding STORY OF MY LIFE from Gavin Smith’s stable is favoured. After leading and tiring late in a December feature at this course and distance, he is expected to come back stronger and take on the challengers with renewed vigour.
