Race 4: EMPRESS ROCK (2)
Jockey: K Zechner – Trainer: W H Marwing
EMPRESS ROCK has demonstrated solid ability, delivering one of her best performances recently with a strong finish in a competitive sprint on Summer Cup Day. This Rock Of Rochelle filly will thrive over the extra distance and has the important experience racing around the turn.

Race 5: MUJALLAD (1)
Jockey: C Murray – Trainer: M De Kock

There’s fierce competition in this Progress Plate sprint over five furlongs, where a photo finish is likely. The classy grey colt MUJALLAD has shown versatility and posted an excellent recent effort, narrowly behind top filly Exquisite Touch & Grade 2 winner The Thinker. The Redoute’s Choice import wore blinkers for the first time then and will again, coming into peak condition to overcome the ratings.

Race 7: DIAMOND DANCER (3)

Jockey: B Lerena – Trainer: P A Peter

DIAMOND DANCER had a disappointing run at Grade 3 level but that form has been strengthened by Liege’s Grade 1 Summer Cup win next time out. Trained by the ever-successful Paul Peter, this colt has particular traits but showed promise on comeback and will relish this drop in class and longer ten furlongs. Top jockey Gavin Lerena remains unbeaten on him.

Race 8: BANKING APRIL (1)
Jockey: M Yeni – Trainer: M Houdalakis

Top weight BANKING APRIL showed strong form following a drop in class, narrowly beaten by consistent stablemate September Bloom over ten furlongs recently. Although raised two pounds, this versatile bay mare is tough and should produce another solid run over a mile, with Muzi Yeni in the saddle.

Race 9: WHEEL OF TIME (5)
Jockey: C Murray – Trainer: M De Kock

The promising three-year-old WHEEL OF TIME definitely needed his seasonal return two weeks ago and will be fitter now. He showed above average talent last season, finishing ahead of notable Dingaans 3rd placed Vacquero over this course and distance. Though facing a challenge due to his size in older company, his good draw and class should keep him competitive.
