Winning Form Best Bets
Race 2: WIND CHILL(2)
Race 3: JAZAALAH(9)
Race 4: DANCING REBEL(1)
Race 6: KINGOFTHEWORLD(5)
Magic Tips Best Bets
Race 1: SEVENTH SON(8)
Jockey: Piere STRYDOM – Trainer: Clinton BINDA

SEVENTH SON showed strong improvement when narrowly finishing second after a solid ride from ‘Striker’ over this distance a fortnight ago. He just missed out against a good contender and was ahead of a highly rated competitor in a strong field. This bay gelding is progressing well and is a strong chance to claim victory.

Race 3: JAZAALAH(9)
Jockey: Callan MURRAY – Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

JAZAALAH was highly fancied when finishing second behind a speedy rival over this distance two weeks ago. She has since shown excellent work back at home and is expected to improve with that experience. The imported filly by More Than Ready has plenty of natural progress ahead of her.

TOP BET
Race 4: GAMBADO(13)
Jockey: Randall SIMONS – Trainer: Alec LAIRD

GAMBADO was rested for 17 weeks following two solid runs, and he should have grown stronger. He was beaten into 4th place over a mile in a competitive field second time out but that form has proven to be strong. This son of Mambo In Seattle is expected to handle the turn better this time and is one to watch closely.

Race 8: MARTHA’S VINEYARD(2)
Jockey: Anthony DELPECH – Trainer: Mike DE KOCK

MARTHA’S VINEYARD enjoyed the step up in distance, finishing strongly to win against a similar field over nine furlongs last month. She may have only a three-pound penalty and can follow up despite dropping sharply in trip. She breaks from a midfield draw.

VALUE BET (EACH WAY) FOR TODAY:
Race 5: TWICE A DANCER(14)
Jockey: Lyle HEWITSON – Trainer: Sean TARRY

The three-year-olds TWICE A DANCER and HOT CURRY could play significant roles in this competitive ten-furlong handicap with their low weights. TWICE A DANCER is the slight favourite. Trainer Tarry’s charge had a tough final run at Greyville last season, likely needed his comeback over a shorter trip recently, and is better than his current rating. He is expected to be fitter now.
