Sprint icon Usain Bolt is gearing up to sign with South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns this coming Tuesday!
The Mamelodi Sundowns sparked excitement on social media by sharing a snap of the former world’s fastest man donning their training kit on Twitter, captioned: “Football will never be the same. Find out today 8am GMT”.
Currently leading the South African Premier Division, the Sundowns make a thrilling new home for Bolt.
This buzzworthy news follows Bolt’s own announcement on Sunday where he revealed he had inked a deal with a football club, with the official reveal set for Tuesday.
Having long dreamed of a football career post-retirement, Bolt has previously trained with Borussia Dortmund, though he has admitted his ultimate ambition is to play for his favourite club, Manchester United.
At 31, the sprint legend retired from athletics last summer boasting eight Olympic gold medals from the 100m and 200m events.
His final competitive race was the London World Championships in August the previous year, finishing third behind Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman.
